About Me
I am a machine learning researcher and engineer from Bangladesh, currently pursuing an MSc at the
University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. My research focuses on
misinformation detection from social media using large language models and natural
language processing. Working under the supervision of Dr. Houda Elmimouni and Dr. Noman Mohammed,
I explore ways to make automated misinformation detection more accurate, reliable, and interpretable.
My broader interests include natural language processing, large language models, explainable AI, low-resource language technologies, deepfake detection, and computer vision. I am particularly interested in building AI systems that are efficient, transparent, and capable of addressing real-world challenges. I enjoy working at the intersection of research and practical applications, where new ideas can be translated into tools and technologies with meaningful impact.
Outside of research, I enjoy exploring different cuisines and discovering new places to eat. I am also a chess enthusiast and a passionate soccer fan who enjoys following matches whenever time permits. In my free time, I like reading manga and exploring stories from different genres and cultures. These interests provide a welcome balance to research and often inspire new perspectives and ways of thinking.
I am always eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to research that advances the field of AI while remaining grounded in practical and socially relevant applications.
